We’re delighted by the growing enthusiasm in our community for joining committees! Several homeowners new to committees have signed up, and many residents have called in to Board meetings to stay informed. To help clarify the process, here’s what you need to know:
If you’re interested in joining a committee, follow these simple steps:
1. Attend at least one committee meeting to familiarize yourself with its discussions and work.
2. Review the Committee Charters and Code of Conduct
3. Submit an Application expressing your interest.
4. Await Board approval—if space is available (some committees have a limited number of members, while others are more flexible), your application will be forwarded to the Board for consideration.
At our last Board meeting, we approved updated Charters for the Communications Committee, Sports and Recreation Committee, Architectural Controls Committee, Finance and Operations Committee, and Fines Committee. You can read their Charters below or on the Resident Portal. Homeowners are always welcome to attend committee meetings; however, please note that these are working sessions, so the Committee Chair may ask that comments or questions be held until the end to ensure an efficient discussion.
Even better—if you’re eager to get involved, follow the application process above and apply!
We’re also excited to announce the completion and approval of the brand-new Renew Klahanie Charter! You can read this charter below. Applications for this committee are now open, and we aim to hold our first meeting in June. If you’ve already submitted an application, there’s no need to resend it.
No matter your skills or passions, we’d love to welcome fresh perspectives and new faces. Looking forward to connecting with you soon!
