We’d like to welcome John Perkins as the newest member of the Klahanie Board, filling the vacancy left by Kathy Salb. Since moving to the Audubon Heights neighborhood in 2023, John has quickly become an engaged and active member of our community. A retired Navy officer and experienced communications professional, John is committed to ensuring homeowners are informed, respected, and included in key decisions that impact their homes and finances.

John and his wife have a 13-year-old daughter who attends Beaver Lake Middle School. They feel fortunate to live in a community with such welcoming neighbors and are excited to contribute to Klahanie’s future. John’s priorities on the Board include improving communication with residents, increasing homeowner engagement, and providing greater transparency around board decisions and future planning.
He brings 26 years of leadership and communications experience, including work with the White House, Congress, state and local governments, and community organizations. Most recently, he was recruited to lead strategic communications for the Navy’s Maritime Industrial Base Program, supporting national infrastructure, Congressional outreach, and workforce development initiatives.
We’re excited to have John join the Board and know his expertise will be a great asset to our community. Welcome aboard, John!
