Accounting Manager

Amy joined our team in April 2022.  She has years of experience working in the accounting and finance fields, most recently serving as the accountant for a local Sammamish nonprofit.  Prior experience includes accounting work at Fisher Broadcasting in Seattle, where Amy spent many years in the radio industry.  Working with customers to answer questions and solve problems is part of what Amy loves about her job, and she looks forward to getting to know many of our Klahanie residents.

Amy is a graduate of Washington State University – Go Cougs!  She continues to be a proud supporter of WSU, and also loves to cheer on the Mariners, Seahawks and Kraken.

Amy is a local Klahanie resident and has been a part of the Klahanie community since 2004.  She resides in the neighborhood with her husband and two children and has spent many years serving the Issaquah School District and our local schools.

In her free time, Amy enjoys family camping trips, hiking, reading, and travel.  On most weekends, you’ll find her in the stands watching youth sports, or in the car driving her kids to one of their many practices or games.  You may also see her out on the Klahanie trails walking her dog, Baxter, so make sure to say hello!

Chris Siler

Facilities Director
chris.siler@klahanie.com

Facilities Director

Chris joined the Klahanie team in March of 2022. He started his long career in construction on the fence lines of his uncle’s contracting business at 16 in southern New Mexico. Building miles of barb wire fence on the ranches, farms, and wildlife refuges all over the southwest gave him the love of nature and working out on the land. Having kids required him to get off the road and start working in facility maintenance. Many years were spent running the maintenance department in nursing homes, where he was able to interact with great people and big staffs. From there he started working in apartment maintenance, running garden style apartments and then a Tower in downtown Seattle. He was then lucky enough to work for the residents of Klahanie. Living close by in Issaquah with his wife and two kids allows him a short commute, better able to help the wonderful community of Klahanie.

Maggie Leist

Sports & Recreation Director
Sportsandrec@klahanie.com

Sports and Recreation Director

Maggie joined the team in May of 2023 as the Sports and Recreation Director. Growing up in Klahanie, her first job was as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Klahanie, then as a coach for the Klahanie Sharks. After earning her degree in Sports Medicine and Industrial Organizational Psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, she spent some time working in mental health before making the transition to working in a non-profit.

After 2 years working in guest services, hospitality, and retail, Maggie is excited to be back working at the pools. She has a community-first mentality and a knack for creative problem-solving and teambuilding.

Maggie is a Klahanie resident and is frequently at the pools, playing pickleball, or running on the trails. Fun fact, she was a college swimmer, so you may see her swimming laps in the mornings.  In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, running with her beagle Bingo, and just about anything on the water. Next time you're at the pool, make sure you say hi!
