Road Project
Update August 1

The plans and timing of
the major road project on Issaquah Fall City road continue to become clearer.
During the meeting on Wednesday evening the staff discussed the plans in two

The first phase begins on
August 26th and involves all the road work to widen the road,
replace utilities and add roundabouts on both IFCR and on Beaver Lake at 256th.
During the first phase, the IFCR will be kept open for the majority of the
time. Road work will begin after morning rush at 9:30am and will halt at 3:30pm
each day. They are attempting to keep one lane in each direction open for
traffic. There will be traffic interruptions periodically as equipment is moved

This will give commuters
from August, 2019 to March, 2020 to figure out alternative routes to and from
home. Hopefully, this will lessen the impact on Klahanie when Phase 2 begins
and the IFCR is closed to build the bridge.

The City is replacing the
traffic signal at Klahanie Blvd and Issaquah Pine Lake Road so they can monitor
traffic and adjust the timing of the lights to keep traffic moving.

I will keep you informed
as new information is received.
